naisulat... ang Noli Me Tangere at El Filibusterismo. Nabasa nyo

Aguinaldo.

nagawa, naguhit, nalilok at naisulat. Di pa kasama dito ang

kanyang mga "love interest" hehehe... Kahit papaano may

Rizal Day: Remembering our National Hero

Two days from now, our country will have a national holiday--Rizal's Day, December 30. All of us shall be busy from what they are doing. I think we Filipinos must learn what patriotism is all about. Some when they go abroad forgets who they are and where they came from. When I heard Libera's Bayan Ko, I can't help myself but to agree with the emotions of the people watching that concert. I applauded and got some teary eyes. Those kids who are not Filipinos said in their song "Ang Bayan ko" even though they don't mean it because they were not from our country, its kinda personal to me. But the rendition they made was fantastic. Learning how to pronounce and even the diction itself. And for us who may hear the song, it goes to our bones and veins because of what who we really are. The Spaniards called our forefathers "Indio", subukan lang may tumawag sa akin ng ganyan makakatikim lang talaga, hehehe... But I'm proud to be a Filipino... kayumanggi ini!

What shall our heroes may say today for the people they have bled and died for? Its hard to think, but maybe they might have a second thought if they will do it the second time? I don't know, what do you think?

Rizal Day, is about remembering how Jose Rizal live and died for our country. He was made our national hero for his brilliance not in firing a gun nor waving a flag and bolo, but with a stroke of his pen that kindled the heart and mind of many Filipinos in his time to fight for the freedom of our country against the Spanish government and its rule. Even today his writings and works are being studied in all universities and colleges. And what we have learned? Angry people at the street...and I think Rizal doesn't mean about that.

I hope even with the song that I have shared to all of you may remind us who we are and what we suppose to be as Filipino people...

God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen

O Come, All Ye Faithful

Silent Night

You Were There

You were there
soloist: Tom Cully

You were there in everything I knew
From the moment I began.
Always there in every way I go.

Saved me falling, held my hand.

You are shelter from the storm.
The shadows fade away, all cares pass away.

As hour by hour, day by day
Your love lightens up the sky

As it shines across the night.
Ave, regina caelorum decora
Virgo gloriosa, ave!

And when the end of day is come,
Stay with me through the dark and bring me home.

You are there whichever way I go.
Keep me safely night and day.
Always there, whenever I'm alone,

Hear me calling, show the way.

You are shelter from the storm,
The shadows fade away, all cares pass away.

As hour by hour, day by day;
Your love lightens up the sky

As it shines across the night.
Ave, regina caelorum decora
Virgo gloriosa, ave!

And when the end of day is come,
Stay with me through the dark and bring me home.

Stay with me through the dark and bring me home

Love in an Excellent Way

1Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

2And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.

3And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.

4Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

5Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;

6Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;

7Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

8Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.

9For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.

10But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.

11When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

12For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

13And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

Post-Christmas Disappointments

Hay, bakit parang biglang saya tapos biglang lungkot?

kailangan daw maligo araw-araw hehehe...
Maliit na kahon, wow ulit! pabango Dolce & Gabbana at Eternity!
Expensive! Kahit nga lang "Papa Cologne" pwede na...

Ano naman kaya itong isa? May nakasulat, "How beautiful the feet"...
"Fragile, do not drop, it will break", buti na lang di ko nabagsak, ano kaya laman?
Lo and behold isang HTC Touch Pro2 cellphone! Ang galing naman!

Teka may isa pa, nasa ilalim parang libro yata...
Wow leathered Scofield Study Bible KJV!

ONLY JESUS CAN SATISFY OUR SOULS...

Are you still disappointed? Reach out to Jesus...

Twas the Day after Christmas

'Twas the day after Christmas,
When all through the place
There were arguments and depression--
Even Mom had a long face.

The stockings hung empty,
And the house was a mess;
The new clothes didn't fit...
and Dad was under stress.

The family was irritable,
And the children--no once could please;
Because the instruction for the swing set
Were written in Chinese!

The bells no longer jingled,
And no carolers came around;
The sink was stacked with dishes,
And the tree was turning brown.

The stores were full of people
Returning things that fizzled and failed,
And the shoppers were discouraged
Because everything they'd bought was now on half-price sale!

'Twas the day AFTER Christmas--
The spirit of joy had disappeared;
The only hope on the horizon
Was twelve bowl games the first day of the New Year!

A Psalm of Extremity

I cry tears
to you Lord
tears
because I cannot speak.

Words are lost
among my fears
pain
sorrows
losses
hurts
but tears
You understand
my wordless prayer
You hear.

Lord
wipe away my tears
all tears
not in distant day
but now
here.

Dapat bang ipagdiwang ang kapaskuhan?

Many Christians consider that Christmas should not be celebrated, because of doctrinal reasons or what... and here are some of them... see below:

The World Book Encyclopedia defines "Christmas" as follows: "The word Christmas comes from "Cristes Maesse", an early English phrase that means "Mass of Christ." (1) It is interesting to note that the word "Mass", as used by the Roman Catholics, has traditionally been rejected by the so-called Protestants, such as Lutherans, Baptists, Methodists, Presbyterians, Pentecostals and so on. The word "Mass" is strictly a Catholic word and thus, so is "Christ-Mass."

As previously stated, the word "Mass" in religious usage means a "death sacrifice." The impact of this fact is horrifying and shocking; for when the millions of people are saying, "Merry Christmas", they are literally saying "Merry death of Christ!"

Well, did I read that "Mass of Christ" is equally the "Death of Christ"... so I think the root word of MASSACRE is MASS...???... Having thought of that, Ah I'm a genius! hahahaha...

If many of you thinks that celebrating Christmas is an "irregularity" which many Christians err to do every year during December... Isn't our Lord was branded as "Friend of Sinners" because he sits and ate and drink in the table with Zacchaeus and even publican friends of Matthew? Does make it inconvenient with Pharasites, sorry rather, with the Pharisees and Scribes? Well does it make you feel inconvenient for us who celebrate the truth that once long time ago Christ was born... I will celebrate His nativity for it has a place in HISTORY!

It's my personal conviction because I love my Lord so much that I would like to treasure everything pertaining to Him and make it rich in my mind and soul... besides, how I tell others about his birth was for ME! He came for me... because our relationship is too personal... Why should other people prohibit me nor tell me I'm wrong to commemorate the birth of my Beloved? Well many says, "love is crazy"... you'll do everything for the person you loved even the whole world says you're stupid or crazy... I would rather be identified "Friend of Pagans" so that my pagan friends may know the truth the reason why He was born... so that He may die for them...

Having said that, liberty or personal conviction is our only escape but remember in 1 Cor.10:23 Paul said... "All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not."..... hahahaha.... kasi nga hindi naman lagi na lang natin reason ang "because was not prohibited nor commanded... ay pwede na!" hahahaha... that's why I based my reasoning in MOTIVE....which is LOVE...greater than faith and hope ;)

Am I being sentimental???,,, What do you call a person who died and gave his life for his friends? Sentimental? EMO? Matyr? or crazy? If Christmas means, the death of Christ... So be it, I will celebrate also His death, for His death brought life in me... and I will also celebrate His resurrection for it brought power in my Salvation He gave me... I WILL CELEBRATE CHRIST AND EVERYTHING IN HIM WITH MY LIFE...

Since I have the luxury to do it then I will do it, why not?... Merry Christ-Birth to all... jon sosito

"Christmas Pressure"

Christmas Card

A LADY HAD A CIRCLE OF FRIENDS
for whom she really
wanted to buy Christmas presents. Time slipped
away and it was so busy at work for her she just
wasn't able to get to the store to purchase those
gifts. Time was running out. So not too many
days before Christmas she decided to give up on
the gift idea and just buy everybody the same
beautiful Christmas card. She went to the local gift
store and hurriedly went through the now picked
over stack of cards and found a box of fifty, just
exactly what she wanted. She didn't take time to
read the message, she just noticed a beautiful
cover on it and there was gold around it and a
floral appearance on the front of the card and she
thought, That's perfect. So she signed all of them,
"With all my love."

As New Year's came and she had time to go back
to two or three cards she didn't send from that
stack, she was shocked to read the message
inside. It said, in a little rhyme,
"This Christmas card is just to say,
a little gift is on its way."

Wise Men still seek the Messiah

{ Ref. Matthew 2:1-12 }

by Jon Sosito

In the event of the wise men who look after the King of the Jews... It was not revealed to them His name but they were blessed for them to know His birth... And they saw the star that will guide them where the king supposed to be, they did not hesitate to make the journey even they know it will take them a long travel and probably months to get there to a strange place of hope...

Why seek the King of the Jews, for they were not of the kin of Israel? They could be rich and influencial in their land, having dominion and rulers of their own people... What shall benefit them? Unlikely to many rich people's past time, striking that little white ball in the field and fill-up that hole of unsatisfaction... but I know its fun... :D

They were called wise because they are knowledgeable and intellectual enough in their own skills, talents and abilities... For they were learnt people... wise isn't it? The most I may consider them wise because they search for the Messiah... For we are all fools not considering seeking after God... no not one... They were also considered wise as having gifts for the king there were looking for... If their journey was the most exciting and fulfilling travel, to meet the young child is PRICELESS! The King of kings and the Lord of lords...

Truly if anyone seek Christ in their life, then you are wise... A lot of wise men still searching for the Messiah and for us who have found Him... Let us be a light or even that star to guide them at the feet of the Savior of their life...

Search Him now while you can still find Him... and your long and tiring journey in sin shall found rest in His forgiveness and LOVE...

Be Careful What You Wish For

by Jon Sosito

There are so many things in this world we would like to have and achieve... We wish for so many things and hope for the best... Its nice to dream something wonderful to happen... Keep on dreaming... but don't let our dreams became a nightmare... and became vulnerable by our own way of greediness...

Here's a brief story of Alexander the great before he died...

The great Greek King, Alexander, after conquering many kingdoms, was returning home. On the way, he fell ill and he was bedridden for months. With death drawing close, Alexander realized how his conquests, his great army, his sharp sword and all his wealth were of no use. He called his generals and said, "I will depart from this world soon. But I have three wishes. Please fulfill my wishes without fail." With tears flowing down their cheeks, the generals agreed to abide by their king's last wishes.

"My first desire is that," said Alexander, "my physicians alone must carry my coffin." "Secondly, when my coffin is being carried to the grave, the path leading to the graveyard should be strewn with gold, silver and precious stones which I have collected in my treasury. My third and last wish is that both my hands should be kept dangling out of my coffin."

The people who had gathered there wondered at the king's strange wishes. But no one dared to question. Alexander's favorite general kissed his hand and press them to his heart. "O king, we assure you that your wishes will all be fulfilled. But tell us why do you make such strange wishes?"

At this Alexander took a deep breath and said, "I would like the world to know of the three lessons I have just learnt. I want my physicians to carry my coffin because people should realize that no doctor can rally cure anybody. They are powerless and cannot save a person from the clutches of death. So let not people take life fro granted.

The second wish of strewing gold, silver and other riches on the way to the graveyard is to tell people that not even a fraction of gold can be taken by me. Let people realize that it is a sheer waste of time to chase wealth.

And about my third wish of having my hands dangling out of the coffin, I want people to know that I came empty handed into this world and empty handed I go out of this world."

Alexander's last words:
"Bury my body, do not build any monument, keep my hands outside so that the world knows the person who won the world had nothing in his hands when dying."

Take thought of this...

1TIMOTHY 6:7-10
6:7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
6:8 And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.
6:9 But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.
6:10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

Anong gusto mong matanggap na GIFT ngayong Pasko?

2 Corinthians 9:15
Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift.

by Jon Sosito

It's a season of giving... and I know everyone is expecting a gift from
someone... isn't it more blessed to give than to receive? hmmm...
Didn't you know that we have received an unspeakable gift from God... and the
gift of the fruit of the Spirit of God...

So what do you expect to receive? Don't faint if you receive nothing but do not
fret and wait something is reserved for you...

Naniniwala ako na kahit may financial crisis, meron at meron pa rin tayong
maibibigay...

Just for wishingful thinking... let's make a list of gifts that you are expecting to
receive... and believe me with all wonder, you'll receive something special or
even valueable this Christmas...

BUT PLEASE ALWAYS REMEMBER BE THANKFUL AND GRATEFUL WITH OR WITHOUT RECEIVING ANYTHING FROM ANYBODY...

my wish is......a hug and kiss from my family and loved ones, tapos sabay abot nila ng bagong cellphone (HTC TouchPro2) sa akin... hahahaha... yun lang... mahirap kasi ang nasa abroad malayo sa mga kapamilya at kapuso heheheh...

by: Jon Sosito

WHAT IS CHRISTMAS WITHOUT JESUS?

{ Ref. Luke chp 1:26-35; chp 2:1-20 }
by Jon Sosito

Life shall not be exceedingly abundantly without Christ... HE WAS BORN TO DIE...

to die for me and for you...

people are dying around us... just one month ago a 6 year old boy died with cancer and three days ago the father of our member died... may be the question is WHAT IS LIFE WITHOUT CHRIST?... Could this be the matter of our living?...

Many of us shall be BUSY buying GIFTS... and have set aside the true meaning why HE was born... greeting each one with "Happy Holidays"??... and I think it is unchristian to greet someone like that... what happen to "Merry Christ-birth" greetings? and putting an "X" mark instead of Christmas, Christ became unknown in "xmas"...

I heard there will be a Christmas "Party"... then I laughed... party? OK, that's it! Let's go! Kill-Joy daw kasi ang mga Kristiano, dahil walang party, puro Word of God daw kasi at singing Carol songs then fellowship tapos uwian...teka may kainan muna pala bago uwian...hahaha... parang Cinderella, kailan bago mag-12-midnight ay makauwi na... hahaha...

How do we really remember the birth of Christ? ... Well I cannot talk about His birth without mentioning His death... Because it is the purpose of His first coming... whereas is most celebrated and awaited... But if we talk about His second coming, many may be resentful... kasi marami pang mga pangarap sa buhay na gustong makamit at bata pa daw sila :D ...in a twinkling of an eye... in a moment... at the last trump...

It is to remind us that if He fulfilled His earthly birth... He will fulfill also as it was said "I come, quickly"....

It's a hard life...seem to be a long hard fight... but when you're in Love with Christ... you'll wait for your Love... and Christ did it for LOVE... even this world is filled with sorrow... we must always live for Him AS we also did it for LOVE... He came for LOVE... and that LOVE IS EXCEEDINGLY ABUNDANT for all of us!!!
